|
Have you ever had valid emails from friends and family go into your junk email folder? There is a way to tame over-zealous spam filters: whitelisting. A whitelist is a list of legitimate email addresses that will never be treated as junk email. Let's look at the options Outlook has for managing a whitelist. Open the Junk E-mail Options ( Actions > Junk E-mail > Junk E-mail Options...). Here you have two checkboxes at the bottom. Check the box next to "Also trust e-mail from my Contacts" will treat everyone in your Contacts list as also on your whitelist. You can also manually add email addresses to your whitelist by clicking the Add... button on the right.
